So I'm in this band. We formed a couple months ago and played like three shows and we are looking for a label... Will you sign us?
No.

What if my band has been around for longer?
Maybe.

Will you listen to our demo?
Sure but first impressions are important so be sure it is good. We used to like links to your myspace or purevolume page the best but then we got hundreds of them a month.

The messages read like this: "Hey dood- Listen to us, we are the next huge band and we love your label and we want you to sign us."

At least use "dude" if you message us like that. If you want to send us links shoot us a real message along with them.

Sonicbids EPKs are great. Press kits are even better. Do NOT email mp3 files. We won't open attachments unless we know you.

My band wants to play a show in Syracuse. Can you help set one up?
Send us your CD and the date you are looking to play and we'll consider it. If we can't help we may be able to point you in the direction of someone who can. Send your package to:

Where can I buy the CDs?
Well we suggest either directly from us or from iTunes, Smartpunk, Interpunk, Amazon, CD Baby and some stores including Sound Garden in Syracuse, NY.

If you want to stock the disk in your store we handle all distribution and wholesale rates are available.

I want to book one of your bands. How much do they cost?

Ok one more. I heard a rumor you're a doctor. Do you do surgery? Is it gross?
I'm not that type of doctor but I do have a Ph.D. in Mass Communications with a focus on the music industry and marketing. I got it from Syracuse University and they can't get rid of me. I've hung around to teach some classes. I bet your professors don't listen to Chiodos.
